I detest these things. It’s almost impossible to back out of a supermarket car park with one on other side. You take your life in your hands.

Sam, nothing that you have written gives me hope that you will live sparingly.

Different texture with crunchy katafia (sp?) pastry, pistachio cream, crushed pistachios and I think a touch of salt, good quality chocolate. I like it, but it’s expensive so not often eaten in my house.

Ham. Cold Christmas pud with butter.

Have a great Christmas. Please post some pics occasionally, especially of Wally, my favourite. Words unnecessary.

Have a great day with your family. I know they’ll be well-fed!

It’s not as if barking at people in this horrible fashion actually works either

It’s the opposition and the other nut cases in parliament that should be extending the hand of bipartisanship. It doesn’t go the other way. They are being just as divisive as they have been for decades.

The press approach to Lindy Chamberlain wasn’t the right thing then and it’s certainly not the right thing now. It’s a very judgemental thing to accuse a woman of not crying enough, or at all. Sussan is old enough to understand that people respond to things differently

Interestingly, I feel the Prime Minister is representing me as well as the rest of Australia when he attends these things. If he’s booed, then so am I.
December 22, 2025 at 12:12 PM
For a couple of seconds, I thought she might actually be bipartisan on occasions like this. Only a couple of seconds though. Politicising this horrific event and going down the Lindy Chamberlain route with Penny Wong is just pathetic. She slides further down in my estimation daily.

I don’t know, Pauline is pretty good at domestic hate.
December 21, 2025 at 1:29 PM
I guess that means I’m uncharitable.
December 20, 2025 at 6:57 AM
But I’m sure they’re really good blokes when you get to know them.☹️

I suspect he is just a good man. He left to help others because that’s the kind of person he is. It doesn’t matter what nationality or religion he belongs to. He’s a hero.

I think it is the sun that had the proven connection and the father who owned the guns, but your point is valid. Just hearing on the radio this morning that they had been to the Philippines undone a kind of military training there.

I live in an ordinary 40 year old house in a usually despised part of Sydney. My house is apparently worth about 1.2 million’ probably more because of its condition and garden. That media comment was deeply stupid.

How nice to read your work again.

Ley has a tin ear. This is not the time to make political capital. I thought you should be given a fair chance, but now I doubt that.

Agree. My dad used to say that anyone who thinks they need an automatic isn’t a good enough shot to own a gun. Those used in this shooting were thankfully not automatics.

Time to strengthen our laws.

We’re facing a massive tragedy of our own here in Sydney today, so I hadn’t heard this news. How dreadful. What a talent lost.
December 15, 2025 at 7:40 AM
And we need to make sure we take the opportunity to reinforce that. Eventually something good has to come out of this tragedy.
