Basically he died & was only brought back in a billion-to-one chance that the pebble was placed touching him again. The fact that the pebble was so close was even more torturous. What if it rolled farther away?? I had a secure childhood so this randomness was, like you say, the stuff of nightmares.

I remember realizing a long time ago that the 500 audiobooks I "own" on Audible are actually not mine at all. I can't give them away, lend them out, sell them, or leave them to someone. Quite different from when I owned audiobooks on cassette and CD. Thank goodness for Libby. Audible can bite me.

I use it when I want to play pictionary (or other similar word games) with my students. If it generates the clues then I can play too, unlike if I have to generate the clues.

Yeah, that worked so well when it was Betsy DeVos. Come to think of it, not one of my letters (or protests or marches) about anything that happened during his last term made any difference. Wake me when it's the revolution.
