When my dad used to fall asleep in church he’d claim he was meditating but it looked a lot like this.

Thanks to Donna’s Law, there is no statute of limitations for child rape in Florida. Paying a minor for sex is rape. A state that cares about children could bring charges.

I have a question @thetnholler.bsky.social. Where is trump’s “faith advisor” Paula White? She’s bilked millions out of the poor globally and has been really quiet since he’s started starving children and withholding medicine.

I know a whole lot of women who just delivered a baby who would love that kind of paid leave

“In addition, a separate nutrition program for 7 million pregnant women and new parents is also at risk of running out of money. The Trump administration tapped $300 million in tariff funds to keep WIC afloat, but it's expected to run out within a few weeks.” www.npr.org/2025/10/24/n...
'Uncharted territory': Ongoing shutdown threatens food aid for 42 million people
SNAP, the country's largest anti-hunger program, dates back to the Great Depression and has never been disrupted this way. Most recipients are seniors, families with kids, and those with disabilities.

Here is what happens when SNAP shuts down. Millions who are go hungry. They have to chose between food and rent. Millions of seniors starve. Mothers who are nursing or pregnant go hungry. Potentially effecting the birth weight of babies costing billions long term.

There are options but instead “starve them” is the choice. No matter your party, if you are an elected official, this should be an abhorrent choice. If you are pointing fingers and blaming someone else, you are the problem.

2-The republicans in the Senate have been using their majority to pass bills and appoint people (they don’t need dem votes they just don’t want the blame for millions losing healthcare in two months.) 3-The House could come back from their extended vacation and get to work on a compromise.

Landlords lose rent payments, small grocers lose business, large corporations like Walmart that gets 25% of their business from SNAP, suffer. Layoffs and even closure of small businesses in food desert areas.

Here is what government could do. 1-USDA could use the reserves it said it would use.
October 26, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Food Banks, already reeling from billions of lost food from USDA (supplied by US farmers who lost those contracts) cannot feed them. Families miss rent because they bought food and face eviction. But the ripple effect continues.
