iphone's been badgering me about updating to iOS 26 so i finally let that happen today. dislike how unreadable some of the liquid glass stuff is, but toggling liquid glass to tinted instead of clear + setting the clock on my lockscreen to solid and not glass seems to have addressed the worst of it

reminder to check your state's unclaimed property website! apparently I have $40 coming back to me from my current insurance company... which is a little perplexing because they definitely have all my contact info, but whatever, I'll take it!

TIL it's possible for your iphone to receive voicemails even when your carrier voicemail (which kicks in when your phone is in airplane mode) is full. judging by the diff number of VMs, i think my carrier VM box has been full for more than a year lol

still thinking about some of the oil paintings i saw at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne. am uneducated in art certainly, but i don't think i've ever really appreciated oil painting as a medium before? did go on a random uncrowded weekday, so was able to linger and just admire more

saw this outside of the National Gallery of Victoria yesterday. thought it was some sort of interesting traffic calming strategy, but it's actually one of the museum's installations!

Melbourne Museum goes pretty hard.. probably the best history/natural history museum I've been to on this trip! it does cost money, but only about 12 USD for general entry, which is a bargain for how much there is to see

been using Apple Pay more on this trip, which means looking at my Apple Pay transaction history for the first time in a long time.. and lol, why does RTC (public transit) in Vegas display as "Price 4 Limo Party Bus Las Vegas". shows as RTC Las Vegas on my actual cc statement, so funny quirk i guess!

remain amazed and delighted that the Aces are in the Finals! will be out of the country for most of the games unfortunately (on a trip I booked in July when the Aces were .500 ahem) but that just means morning basketball in my future! ☀️🏀
