I volunteer at a food bank every week, and yesterday was the busiest day ever since I started working there 4 years ago . Food insecurity is definitely real, and many people are finding that they can no longer afford basic groceries. I’m hoping that our place will continue to receive donations .

Feeling pretty exhausted today , I’ve been dealing with a lot since my elderly mom got very sick several weeks ago . All of it is overwhelming. Hopefully this feeling passes soon.

I’ve now received the Heroes for Babies status by the American Red Cross because I’m negative for CMV virus , rare for adults my age , and I’m also type O +. Total donations are 38 so it’ll be 5 gallons soon since I give Power Red donations, which are twice the amount of red blood cells .

At some point, Elon Musk will be asking himself if it was worth buying the election in order to save on taxes. His sales of Tesla are plummeting and his net worth is dropping rapidly. Doesn’t he know that everything that Trump gets involved with ends up falling, like his casinos, airline, etc?

It was a beautiful weekend to celebrate my husband’s birthday at the Borgata in Atlantic City. Gorgeous hotel and casino and they have a nice hot tub and pool in addition to a gym . We played slots, video poker and blackjack on a machine that had an AI dealer . Great dinner at Angeline’s.

I’m so grateful for Jimmy Carter both as president and as a humanitarian. I’ll be watching his funeral today and donating to the Carter foundation, which will continue on in their good work.
