Teaching visual language aka reading to puppies is a fun way to stimulate brain connections!

Your puppy doesn't know any better. But you should know better than to leave food where a puppy can reach it, or a cord where a puppy can chew it.

Check out this next-level puppy proofing one of my clients did!

My "Seek" app says these are "sulfur tufts".

My favourite way to enjoy the off leash park is to leave the trail entirely and let my dogs and kids lead me through the British Columbia forest to enchanted places.

Beautiful day at the dog beach. This is October? Feel privileged to be in a part of the world where climate change looks like this.

Dogs show affection by licking each other's lips. Wolf puppies lick adult lips and the adult wolf regurgitates food for them to eat. It has carried over as a gesture of "I love you, you take care of me". So its gross, but let your dogs do it occasionally. You can wipe your lips after.

My Berner has been tricking me out of my bed so she can get in. She scratches at the door and I let her in around 3am. If she finds that my kid has already taken her spot at the end of the bed, she scratches to leave again. When I get up to let her out, she jumps up and lies down in my spot. So...!

I'm sorry. I had to give the final gift to my 17 year old recently and it hurts. They leave pawprints on our hearts.

This seems like a very positive space so maybe I can tell you a secret: you can make #dogs less likely to do a thing by giving them treats.

I used this fact yesterday to deal with a dog from snatching something from my hand. Give them treats for doing it, and all of a sudden it's a chore.
