Summer’s almost here

We live close enough to the ocean that a gull occasionally drops by. But today I got out of the car and seagulls were lined up on the roof and in front of the house. I kept expecting to see Tipi Hedren running down the street screaming.

Four years ago today we lost my mom. I have an opening for someone who can nag me about my posture.

My dad Joseph J. McCarthy would have been 100 today. He made it to 91 and died the next day. He had 0 friends on Twitter, FB, Insta, etc., but scores in real life. Just ask the people who waited in line outside funeral home 9 years ago. 1st pic as 9th grade punk is earliest one anyone had of him.
