My ex pointed out back in the ‘60’s and 70’s that, when I drank too much alcohol, I sounded “like a longshoreman”. Bless his memory…He must be rolling in his grave now, going on 11 years of this fing sh*t — alcohol-free for 55 years. 😜

These are often elderly people who cannot work anymore, and it is much harder for them to adjust in a new place.

The main point is Russia must stop making their lives a living hell. Each Ukrainian city Russia "liberates" is, in fact, destroyed.

I often get asked why people won't leave cities under Russian attacks. The truth is there is no simple answer to that - many (most) do leave. Those who remain often have no experience of living anywhere else and are not certain they will be able to build a new life in a new place.
