Waking up to more horrifying news.
An ICE agent grabbed Merwil Gutiérrez & one of his fellow agents said, “No, he’s not the one.” Merwil Gutiérrez is a 19-year-old asylum applicant who lives in the Bronx. He was the “wrong one.” ICE wasn’t there looking for him.
“Take him anyway,” came the reply.

Things are hard right now w/ the chaos and awfulness of the MAGA administration, & still these volunteers continue to show up in a demonstration of optimism and hope. We will continue our work to make our communities safer. #ExpectUs
Celebrating victories where we can get them: Today in Colorado, we testified and passed SB25-034 through the Senate Committee, it will go to the floor with a favorable recommendation. This bill creates Donna's Law in CO, a voluntary firearms purchase delay act for suicide prevention.

If you followed Lindy Li on social media, this is disappointing. Turns out she's a craven opportunist and has flipped hard for MAGA.
It's hard to comprehend the MAGA mindset, and just gross to see people join that destructive cause because they have no moral compass and a deep need for attention.

We get to deal with legislators like this at the Colorado Capitol. The entire GOP has completed their transition to MAGA extremism. Gun violence prevention and reasonable gun safety laws used to be a bipartisan cause. It's shameful the path so many have taken, and it is costing too many lives
