I try to find something every day that this administration has done, or has had done to them, that I can have a good laugh about. For example, Ukraine taking out a third of Russia's bombers without giving Taco man prior notice.

I was getting one of those calls daily. Finally, I was fed up, and the next caller was told, "I won't consider selling for (a sum far greater than market value) and they were so flumoxed they told me the truth, that they would only pay less than market value. Haven't had another call since then.

I happened upon a conversation Bill Gates was having with a reporter about taxes and was struck by his comment that "if you took 99% of my wealth,I would still be a billionaire. "

I'm also in California and I'm trying to do what I can to reduce what I do that benefits the oligarchs. For instance, I get ebooks from Barnes and Noble instead of Amazon, I have a farmer's market nearby for eggs and produce and I look for smaller stores instead of Wal-Mart.

There's Florida orange juice, Montana beef, ND wheat, Idaho hops for beer and Iowa corn, but the problem is that the blue states produce more stuff which is why they contribute more to the economy.

Well, I do drink bourbon. It's the only hard liquor I drink, but I'm giving it up and not just for Lent, so there's that.

Now I really feel old. I'm so old I remember this. My father was a Republican and a union member.

I would like to see more people using the term "plutocracy" which is defined as "rule by the wealthy" instead of "oligarchy" which means "rule by the few" which is also correct but not as accurately descriptive.

I would like to do that if I could. My concession to the difficulty caused by not being able to find things elsewhere is to only buy things at Walmart or Amazon that I can't find anywhere else.
