Starmer needs to find Starmerism and a longer term sense of direction and purpose, and stop
listening to his spin doctors whose advice is clearly not working and whose briefing against colleagues is not helping to create a sense of stability or strength.

When No 10 gets into a bunker it’s hard to get out. If you dig in (Thatcher) and refuse to make changes of policy and staff amidst dire polls, your colleagues turn against you. Major came out fighting and called and won a leadership contest in 1995 but lost the 1997 election.
