5 weeks off work seemed like a good time to tackle this beast of a book, but it feels like a 21st century version of Great Expectations (one of our GCSE set texts)

Where does this chart come from?

All the secondary schools I've worked in do try to offer a range of genres on their curriculum in KS3, but we're far more limited by the exam boards and their set texts in KS4 (however the sign of four is one of the options for the Victorian novel in GCSE English literature)

Hopefully they'll return to the progressive alliance idea they had during the coalition years.

Sorry for late reply. Q5 was something along the lines of Schools and colleges should provide outdoor spaces for staff and students to connect with nature. And the extracts were The accidental countryside and Life in the fields. But actually, my students were happy, so what do I know?
