Obviously they haven’t followed the rules. But all buyouts will have to be withdrawn without Congressional funding. TFG probably won’t be able to get away with all the terminations because of union contracts. He’s trying lots of things without authority but this is not the private sector.

I think another aspect no one seems to consider when they talk about special elections (this one, the one to replace Stefanik, etc.) is that extra elections cost money, so appropriating the funds is a process.

I’m assuming everyone, since Congress did not appropriate funds for a buyout for civil servants.
