Interesting piece. But can we please stop muddling blast furnaces and steel plants? Yes these are the last UK blast furnaces (which make iron, not steel). But that is not the end of 'UK steelmaking'. The UK has electric arc furnaces with more planned. They make steel.

And now Chiara Martinelli, Director @caneurope.org, also saying clear dates are needed for phase-out of #FossilFuels in steel making. Steel & Metal Action Plan has direction, but questions speed and ambition.
