Anglican priest. Charity and corporate lawyer. Care about civic and political life (sorry!). Sometime gardener, knitter, cook and nature lover. Looking for positive vibes only. UK based (southern England)
Sunday off and last one before being Licensed as Priest in Charge of 2 parishes. Needed to be still. Went to an 8am service in a beautiful old priory church then had coffee outside a CCT church and went in and knelt at the altar rail for a brief prayer. Calm. Peace. blessed. #cofepeeps

Interesting how passages speak to each of us differently. I focussed on the lawyer and questioning and doubt. How God allows us to question and that questioning then leads us deeper calling us to trust and then act

Yes Lectio 365 Morning absolutely is based on Lectio Divina. And Night on the Examen. 24/7 Prayer has actively adopted nonstick practices such as these. So good to see the charismatic and evangelical streams rediscovering these historic spiritual practices.

Prayers and thoughts with you. I have experienced the same long journey with numerous blocks and set backs - but now in my 60s I’m coming to the end of curacy and looking for a post. I know it can happen (despite the church’s best efforts sometimes!)

I absolutely agree with what is said in this article and #Scolding How is it the #Pilavachi abuses are not being given proper airtime? What I cant understand is how it’s not being properly linked with #Makin - so many similarities and from the same culture and theology #CoEPeeps

It’s a juggle for sure and one times the balance gets a bit wonky. But both sides of my ministry (work and church) undoubtedly enrich each other. And the non- church work definitely keeps you real! @andrewavramenko.bsky.social

I agree and apparently the energy usage for AI is through the roof compared to a ‘standard’ search. I heard AI referred to as an ‘extractive industry’ in this context by someone
