Childless cat lady who knits
I had no issue with accordions until the husband of a relative turned up with his on Christmas Day, along with song sheets including ’I’ve got a loverly bunch of coconuts’ 😱 They had apparently gone down well in his local old people’s home. Presumably because the residents were unable to escape.

It was Beth Ditto who reminded me how lovely her voice is, another one like Johnny Cash who could probably sing any old nonsense and make it sound deep. Beth did a couple of 6 music shows that were really good recently.

I’m glad it’s not a monkey being winded, which is what it sounds like.

‘Sheesh!’ said Caroline ‘What the hell was that?!’ is still a phrase I regularly use. Thank you. And thank you Elizabeth!

I’m reading 1983 and really enjoying it. I’m a decade older but many things are still familiar, though not many people walked cows in Lewisham in the 70s.

The posts above this have been about Jonathan Richman. I hope this is too, one of his best songs.

I’m seeing this in @applesandsnakes.bsky.social Wordcraft projects that get poets and teachers working together. Children teachers thought wouldn’t be able to create their own poems have, because they’re not about spelling or grammar but about their imagination. Their curiosity has been sparked.

You really take the impact out of a flounce if you insist on reciting the T&Cs that led to it.
