We had to say goodbye to Omar today. I hope his four months with us were filled with joy. Our vet gave him yummy treats and led him to the Rainbow Bridge. He had severe heart disease.

Funny thing. Another volunteer wanted her, so I took home Blueberry Pancake, now Omar. He’s 15, bone thin and also has arthritis. He’s settling in. So far so good.

Tomorrow, going to Barcs and adopting Strawberry Sorbet, a 12 year old kitty with bad teeth and arthritis and bone spurs who has been there more than a month. Changing her name to Tillie.

Baltimore’s municipal shelter, Barcs, has a program, Dog’s Day Out, where you can borrow a shelter dog for the day. Good for you; good for,the dog.
