Martina Guzman curious about people who voted no. Do they still have a say in how the money is disbursed? How does it work if they voted against it? Answer from Goodman: All NAC members are still members and can participate in decisions going forward if choose to do so.
October 24, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Charles Kosanke says that part of frustration of NAC members is that there are things which are outside the city's jurisdiction. Hear concerns, and some things are in jurisdiction of MDOT, etc. Encourages city to look at the CBO process every 5 years considering the experience of the NACs.
October 24, 2025 at 12:03 AM
Most proud of certain things that will make real differences in people's lives. Proud of $17 an hour for stadium workers. Proud of local hiring. Proud of affordable housing. This is the reason he voted yes.
October 24, 2025 at 12:01 AM
Butler says that we never get everything we want in an agreement. The NAC has done its best to put things into place that can address changes now and put systems in place to adapt to the dramatic changes will result.
October 24, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Cockrel says that when she has the chance to read the final document, she will provide a statement to explain her no vote.
October 23, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Cockrel asking for roll call.
Anzicek- yes
Butler - yes
Cockrel - no
Rose-Willis - no
Guzman - yes

Didn't catch others, but there were actually 3 no's.
October 23, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Sam Butler is making a motion that NAC will provide a letter of support once the community benefits agreement including the amendments discussed tonight. Seconded. There are 7 yay's and 2 no's.
October 23, 2025 at 11:58 PM
Cockrel clarifying that the NAC has a week before they approve the final document.
October 23, 2025 at 11:56 PM
Next step is decision for action from NAC concerning community benefits agreement. If NAC chooses, can make a motion to amend the agreement to include things that Sean has agreed to verbally at the table.

Nobody else online or in person for public comments.
October 23, 2025 at 11:53 PM
Moving to online comments. First commenter from Detroit Disability Power. Has shared with NAC some recommendations regarding sidewalks and housing. Would like the sidewalks to be widened with curb cuts, 15% fully accessible units for housing, all units fully adaptable.
October 23, 2025 at 11:53 PM
Is there someone from CRIO online, and can they come off mute and answer those questions? Jacob from CRIO is online. He says he received commenters email and will get back to her once he receives guidance from CRIO leadership.
October 23, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Next commenter asking to CRIO and wants questions on the record. What is the process for submitting a complaint for violation of a CBO? Has been told that there is a process, but what is it and how is it publicized. Can someone from CRIO follow up?
October 23, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Next commenter lives in Brush Park and says that there is so so much trash after any event. He spends hours each week cleaning up alleys where people leave their trash on the way to events. How will clean-up be managed after DCFC games?
October 23, 2025 at 11:47 PM
Has served the community through supporting the club. Requires in order to support that club is an asset to the city and not a liability. Proud that this process has shown the commitment to the club being an asset.
October 23, 2025 at 11:46 PM
Next commenter has supported this club. Grew up in Detroit on 7 Mile but supported the club even when he left the city and moved South. Loves that this started as a community organizing adventure in 2010.
October 23, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Next commenter agrees with Cockrel that a lot of the language was "squishy" and wants feasibility study for transit. This is a chance to strengthen public transit. This language gives too much opportunity to slip out of strengthening public transit.
October 23, 2025 at 11:43 PM
Next commenter supportive of stadium project and very excited. New challenges will require us to innovate for transit. This is exciting. "All kinds of cool stuff." Encourages DCFC to be forward-thinking in mobility space.
October 23, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Goodman responding that he knows that commenter has submitted these comments to the city, and there is a meeting coming up to discuss them.
October 23, 2025 at 11:40 PM
Neighbor saying that North Corktown has been ignored as usual. Asking city to provide adequate parking so restaurants can survive, but that was ignored. Why was Bagley added, but not their area? Will fight this in city council to get the area cleaned up and adequate parking so that it can develop.
