Pete and Bill Broonzy visited my summer camp when I was five. Pete sang Abeyoyo and Bill let me strum his guitar. 1957. Unforgettable. The next time I met Pete was when I volunteered for green room at a U of Chicago folk festival. He was making a meal out of the insides of several tiny sandwiches.
