I say this but have an interest in monoprinting — chalking it up to that half the time monotypes are completely up to chance lol and not super deliberate. Idk. Printmaking always feels like a palette cleanser in the art world and I’m grateful for its existence and accessibility.

this is to say nothing about the simple act of drawing but the formal creation process of making art that’s accessible and traditionally* in multiples defeats the novelty of collecting by purposefully making something *not* unique — it’s abundant at its bare bones
