I only voted for Harris to help immigrant families and children. Even though I HATED the Biden handling of immigrants too. I knew it would be less at least.

I see. I see it too, but I also, when I lived in bigger cities saw kids calling out their parents and their grandparents and writing them off.
Politics may not have progressed, but these kids are better than the rest before them. I have Hope for their hearts.

Well, I made myself pretty aware of project 2025 and surely didn’t vote for it, but definitely living through the Bush administration during 9/11 and watching what Cheney could get away with I knew that project was possible. Watching people vote for him again, saying he needed to clean up his mess?

But I’m not naive. I remember the hope coming out of the Bush administration only to watch Obama bail out AIG and other banks without conditions. While families lost homes and work.
As long as Dems still do the bad things or are complacent of them, there will always be room for authoritarianism.
