Just read this and loved it. Originally written in Korean and translated. Different to western horror and so interesting because of the different feel which led to unsettled uneasiness reading it. Reminded me of some of the stories in The Dead of Summer by @johnnymains.co.uk plus sheep are scary

After a walk last night where I realised the reasons I'd been feeling a bit odd was the change of season and Tom starting school

A very rough draft but I went for a walk, the light was strange and beautiful. I've felt a bit melancholy recently I think it might be my son starting school and the changes that are happening. Anyway echoes of folklore thanks to @johnnymains.co.uk

The little man did well at school today, so proud of him. Kindness is so important especially right now in the world

@johnnymains.co.uk had a trip to Glastonbury and had to buy some local folklore art and a baby Jackalope. Plus some other bits I wanted to buy!!

Back to work and a day of wall to wall meetings. My brain wandered and then got jaded. Been teaching for 11 years and heard a lot of it all before

I've just learnt about the Vampire Snail. A marine snail that feeds on fish by biting them, inserting a proboscis (3X longer than its body) releasing molecules that stop the blood from clotting + goes on its merry way. 3rd installment of "Slugs" with these @robinince.bsky.social @johnnymains.co.uk

Clearing out the loft of my childhood home and found the treasures I could never part with at carboots sales or charity shop drop offs. I guess I was destined to be into insects and the wierd kid!

@johnnymains.co.uk Hi Johnny, was helping mum clear out her loft today and we found some film posters my dad collected anyway I saw an Alien 3 one, it's not in the best condition and it's A3 but I can send it to you if you want it.

Finished reading @johnnymains.co.uk recent find. It's a collection of horror stories mostly dealing with what we would now consider mental health issues but in a time before all that. Gripping, interesting and horrifying. Johnny has put the leg work I on this. I've added more in the ALT text

I finally managed to pick up a copy of this. @robinince.bsky.social has yet again put his heart and soul into this and it is profound, beautiful and informative. I love the intros to each section giving an insight and back story. I have so much thanks to give as he encouraged me to write poetry too

Cousin love, so proud of how kind this little man is

I'm always drawn to graveyards, I grew up in a village where there were more dead than alive, I hung out in them as a kid, watching the insects and birds. Guess I was destined to be a weirdo

It's so rewarding helping out those that others might overlook. Our latest after we lost our dear Guinness at the age of 15 is Geddy a nervous, beaten up and skinny stray. My son and him are now best mates and he is healing with love and some good food
