We held our first meeting between city officials and local developers last Friday. It was so informative and great to build relationships & support local investment in Saginaw!

When residents show up, real change happens. Come to meetings, ask questions, stay involved. Your voice has power. What meeting or topic do you want to see more of at city council next?

Smart development means investing in people and neighborhoods first. Growth that benefits everyone, not just a few. Which development in Saginaw do you think has gotten it right, and why?

Nobody can do everything, but everything can do something. Our City Council passed water/sewer bill late fee relief to help out in some small way.

Today is Halloween. It’s hard to feel festive with the dread I have about opening my Healthcare, gov application tomorrow, and the fears many face about SNAP cutoff.

Government should work for the people, not behind closed doors. Transparency builds trust. Accountability keeps us strong. What information would you like to see made more visible in city decisions?

SNAP and Head Start programs are being shut down across the country- where is the leadership? SNAP has contingency funding available through the shut down, what are we DOING?

Utility bills are becoming more and more of a burden to all of us. Unpaid water bills come with hefty consequences. I think we need to have solutions at the state level that guarantee water affordability.

I'm proud to support the Invest in MI Kids proposal, which is a constitutional amendment to add an additional tax bracket in Michigan on personal income over $500,000 for a single filer to pay for (constitutionally protected) education funding.

The #1 experience that prepared me for governance was serving as a union steward and lead negotiator. Leading through legal minefields while fighting for people’s urgent needs isn’t something you can learn from a book.

Good policy delivers results. Affordable Housing makes sense for Saginaw, even more than other cities. I wrote a proposal for our leadership last week, here’s how it works:

I support affordable housing in Saginaw. Rising costs and displacement are real issues—so I’m pushing policies to protect residents & expand quality housing.

Do you have questions about affordable housing?👇

Kids deserve more than overgrown parks and empty lots. They deserve safe spaces, after-school programs, and opportunities to grow. When we invest in them, we invest in Saginaw. What is one thing you would like to see for our youth?

Glenn McIntosh, VP of Student Affairs at my alma mater Oakland University, passed away this past week.

Glenn went out of his way to be a friend to me. I didn’t know him well, but I’d like to think that our small acts in life are noticed and remembered.

Thank you, Glenn. 🕊️
