Here’s how the inside of the tape looks

I get the desire to be part of the online chatter and I think things like Letterboxd have amplified the consumption of film as a strange “must be first” game, but to see people brag about watching leaked movies that haven’t even opened in theatres in LA or NY is a new level of entitlement.

I saw a comment that said “I’m not waiting until January to see it,” and I feel like a lot of film culture today is about bragging and logging that you saw something before others by any means necessary. There’s a weird sense of entitlement more than a love of film. IMO.
