Seems to be sort of Stalinism 2.0 - The lesson to be drawn: separation of religion and state, rule of law, separation of powers, civilized media, free and fair elections, freedom of speech, science and art. In short: "Eurocentrism" ("postcolonial" bullshit - no thanks!)

It is blamed on enemies, sabotage, or insufficient loyalty. That mindset makes correction almost impossible. When policies fail, the response is not adjustment but denial and repression, even as daily life becomes harder and pressure mounts."
