Shapekey on the exhaust next and a test shader that heats up

Bit more, but from the front this time as I've been at the weird intake. Need to be careful I don't detail one area up to much compared to the others, so will do the back flappy bit next.... positive that's the technical name [flaps hands in left and right motion]

May drop the front bit. But yeah that's the next chunk until another night. Looking forward to detailing bags and bits stringing it together.

Tonight's bit. I have all the parts i'm making off to one side as instances.

I have about 45minutes free a day. So been doing the get it started then polish it later thing.

Started building the replacement for the placeholder ship [next post], but got a base animation sorted......sort of, it'll change, learning stuff.

Flat plywood is erm, mmmmm yes, more. Only issue when specifying it was stopping contractors from using the ones with massive logos and text printed on it :D

Been wanting to learning water simulations. Last nights test.
Too much cowbell.

I don't know why it looks like the water multiplies in it :D

Here have some pretty paintings to keep your mind of things, and I don't know? Turn to someone you think is special and tell them they are.

Like really, go do it, stop looking at my silly paintings.

One of the arcades i've worked on is live.

Designed the guns / main unit up to construction. Concepted environments. Then modelled, rigged and animated in game things. Was hoping the video would show the rockets animating / blasting off as I did that for example in this game mode.

This will be the next one. Nice and goofy looking at the moment :D

Big Daddy Diagnostics tool. Sadly Craig lost the boot tape, so we can only view the problems via 24 point serial and scream at the issue hoping it will go away.

7 out of 10 times its worked. But we've generally been directing that anger at Craig rather than the machine in question.

Getting a tool out of my system tonight.

On his way out Clements final patch for this in 2022 included it only showing a happy face when a runtime error occurred.

3d model based on someone else's concept [I can't find the reference on my computer anymore]

Ink drawing then shading digitally

The interesting thing about space is the lack of gravity allowing you to utilize every surface orientation. Which I thought about for a while and then completely ignored in this design.

On the upside its parts were plentiful on the open market, and it supplied most lowcost runners. You just had to come to terms with the fact your propulsion had ghost.

So yeah, just showing the other side. Probably internal perspectives next. Concept art sure is satisfying.
January 8, 2024 at 10:18 PM
The Apy - Ay Lifeboat was an engineering failure. By maximizing the internal footprint its systems were ripe for scavengers.

Many survivors' hopes were crushed as they were left in a drifting tomb.

Working through personal projects. Lifeboat section to a larger ship. Sections and so forth to follow

Wife: Just checking you're doing something fun?
Ah okay good, you're painting a spaceship
