Awesome! Great on you two for checking ahead!

I don’t know the details of your plan, but if that is an individual out of pocket max you may get surprised by more charges. When my daughter was born, they put a lot of the costs on HER name and her (separate) deductible. Also on a “pretty good” plan.

Been to Gouda twice without ever realizing they (temporarily, fortunately) wrecked their lovely town center like that!

I work near this intersection and see this bike frequently. Extra infuriating is that plans to add dedicated bike lanes on this road (north of this spot, but likely extendable in time) were killed out of nowhere despite being funded and after a completed, multi year review process.

Speaking of breaks in the network, and connecting to your core point, why does this path randomly stop?

I was pining for something like this at my commuter rail station just today! I’d bike most trips under 3 miles with this consistently waiting for me.

I would buy this as a poster for my future bike shed if anyone prints it.

It sucks bad. Sorry, man.

Can confirm. Was super easy to get from place to place, even when I had to leave my planned path. Well maintained rural cycling paths also blend transport with recreation: I got directions from a couple out for a day trip to a nearby city on a lovely Sunday through beautiful farmland.
