This mindset also overlooks "temporary" situations. A video with captions helps a deaf student AND a student with ADHD AND a student who is still developing their English AND student who forgot their headphones! So many can benefit when content is accessible #CSUNatc #edusky

Need help getting teachers to understand why they should make their class accessible? Some feel that students w/ needs get specialized support elsewhere e.g. due to their IEP. But while 20% of college students have a disability only 7% will apply through their university for support #edusky #csunatc

Very cool. The Learn21Team is approaching "scary apps" for October. No not, creepy or spooky but rather apps that violate student privacy. #scaryapps #edtech #privacymatters Know a scary app? Contribute here: bit.ly/scaryapps23

I am not a science teacher, but I find these lovely: "Dr. Frank developed a coloring book series to further highlight the integration in her work between science and moʻolelo (story)." www.labhuiofrank.com/coloring-books #EduSky

I ❤️ getting to know my students, but feel like a lot of activities are asking for students to be REALLY vulnerable day one. To foster inclusive classroom conversations, I'll explore low-pressure activities you can bring into your classroom. Register at sdcue.org for early bird pricing! #sdcue
