I'm not sure they were so uncomfortable. I'm a big fan of 17-18c stays—not at all like Victorian corsets. Plus all those "undress" options!

I moved 7 times between 2006 and 2011 (2 of those local moves, at least) and I've only recently got over having moving nightmares. Usually about having left a huge stash of books in some previous university town.
