Book mail! My poem "Carina, Carina" is in this poetry showcase benefiting the Pixel Project. As a survivor of domestic violence, this is an intensely personal poem. Happy to represent.

So, I found this beauty and need to add it to my Etsy shop. Just had to share a closeup. It's BIG (28.5"×26.5") in a gorgeous wood frame. The subject of the portrait is Nicholas (handwritten on the back), and it is a charcoal made by John M Galvan in 1982. I just love it! <3

I'm down and out with COVID (despite being vaccinated), but I'm being kept company with this brilliant collection by @cbarzak.bsky.social. I especially enjoyed the breakdown in the intro. I discovered that I generally write "transformations." So happy to find a description of this technique!
