My recovery consisted of taking 12 tablets every day, including steroids, an immunosuppressive and vitamin supplements.
Then, in October and November, I was a bit unwell again due to getting IV treatment every two weeks. Now I get this treatment every two months.

Ulcerative colitis is an inflammable bowel disease #IBD. IBDs affect at least 40 000 people in Ireland. There has been a 90% increase in cases of childhood IBD in the last ten years.

The first time I submitted almost cost me an eye. All my uveitis flare-ups in the past happened due to stress, and submitting a dissertation is stressful for anybody. Thinking that I had to go through another flare-up like that one just terrified me.
