He's very old and frail and terrified of having his physical frailty seen for what it is. The issue is if he orders people to beat up reporters or political opponents. Verbally lashing out in dementia is common but most alzheimer's patients don't have thug squads.

I've been at a track stand six feet short of the crosswalk & some driver who was at a full stop as I approached will try to wave me through.
If they had stopped & continued normally I could have floated the stop at a slow roll. 😐

This is the core of it for me. She's a person with education and deep appreciation for culture. She doesn't want to spend the rest of her life teaching kindergarten etiquette to middle aged men who should know better. Who can blame her for that?
