Next Friday is our treasure hunt! We wanted to clarify the timings of the event - teams can enter and start anytime in the afternoon, with 12 being the earliest start. We wanted to make the event accessible for parents with afternoon school kickout times.

On Friday the 21st of March Cargo Bike Movement are hosting a TREASURE HUNT by bike!

The event is family-friendly with a circuit around the Meadows completing challenges, and clues taking teams across Edinburgh. All wheels are welcome. Exciting prizes to be announced soon...👀

We have launched an Everpress campaign to raise money for the continuation of the food collections by cargo bike, which face an uncertain future with the winding up of Cargo Bike Movement and changes at Shrub.

Next Tuesday we will be joined in the Hub by @portyenergy.bsky.social and @weespokehub.bsky.social on a joint event around bike security. Police Scotland will be there with BikeRegister security marking kits to mark and protect bikes for free!

We are hosting four Cycling Scotland accredited cargo bike training sessions in the coming months - Feb and March 12th and 26th, 1-4pm.

As we approach our recently announced transition with @thebikestation.bsky.social, we are excited to continue our work getting people out on cargo bikes!

Cargo Bike Movement is winding up our operations and passing over to The Bike Station. Our friends at The Bike Station will be the custodians of our mission and vision, with our shared intention to continue the work of Cargo Bike Movement to empower fairer, greener, and healthier communities❤️🚴‍♂️

We have rescheduled our Give it a Go event this Friday the 31st on the Links! If you're curious about riding a cargo bike, we'll be there to show people the ropes and have a chat. We'll be joined by @banzaiedinburgh.bsky.social who run a local cargo bike loan scheme in Brunstfield 🚵‍♀️

We had a blast at our Give it a Go session last week! We had people out on cargo bikes for the first time, some tasty baked goods and lovely chats.

This started off informally during the Covid-19 pandemic, when volunteers on cargo bikes started redistributing surplus supermarket food in response to food insecurity.

This has grown into what it is today thanks our amazing volunteers and partnerships with other charitable organisations.

We are Cargo Bike Movement! We are new to Bluesky and want to introduce ourselves.

Our aim is to make our communities fairer, greener, and healthier.
