The world's first gnome #VTuber (I checked). I have a special interest in #music, and I love to share what I've been listening to.

Before working at a #Halloween store, I never knew there were so many covers of "I Put a Spell on You"

In @getgianni.com's Duke Nukem Voice:
Guys, please don't spoil the new #deltarune chapters. I work all day today, and when I get off I'll probably be too sleepy to enjoy it properly.
I already have to skip watching my favorite #vtuber stream it, so please don't make it hurt any more.

Always interesting when you hear different algorithmically recommended songs that you come to love, but only later find out are all by the same artist.
Had this happen recently with the band Pinback and a whopping *three* of their songs: Good To Sea, Fortress, and Penelope.
All great songs.

Love those songs with backup singers who only chime in for a particular word or sentence.

I like to think that's just what happens everytime the singer says that phrase in real life, and they just happened to write a song that included it.

Song that made me think of it:
Love survive by Michael Nau

You guys should've seen the argument I just won in my head against this guy I made up. I'm way smarter and cooler than him. He didn't stand a chance.

Some #music I've been listening to a lot lately:
-Rollin' In by Sam Evans
-Bushwick Cowboy by Vansire
-It takes a lot to try by Aviram

There are plenty of others, but these three songs in particular have been stuck in my head for the past week or so.
Give them a listen!

Here's a #music recommendation for you. There's this group called Altın Gün. They're a super funky psych-rock band.
The singers are Turkish, and the rest of the band is Dutch. They often do covers of traditional Turkish songs.
I have no idea what any of the words mean, but I vibe all the same.

Some #music for you:
If you don't already, please listen to some Vulfpeck. The vibes of every song are absolutely immaculate, yet they have such a wide breadth of genre. Every member of the band is one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen, and they're always having so much fun performing.

If you want to be a certified #music nerd, just develop an appreciation for King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. One of the greatest bands of our generation. They cross genres and release albums constantly.
I'm no metal head, but it's done me well to mention them in conversation with other music nerds.

#music recommendation:
If you haven't heard "Lingus" by Snarky Puppy, I can't recommend it enough. Please do yourself the favor.
I know the genre isn't for everyone, but keyboardist Cory Henry and drummer Larnell Lewis were a duo of incredible talent.
Magical performance.
I get chills every listen.

I've been really getting into The Cut Worms this past year. The singer's voice has the southern comfort of an Everly Brother, and the lyrics are magical and gentle.
It's also one of the few artists that often makes songs longer than 3 minutes (with unique lyrics).
Song recs in the reply.

Some new #music that came out this past month was the album "The Accident" by Good Morning.
This is an incredibly cozy band that has continued in feel for this latest album.
I liked the song "Romance" a fair amount, but I especially loved the song "Soft Rock Band" which I've had on loop all week.

Assuming there is an afterlife, I really hope when you die it's like #lethalcompany where you're immediately greeted by the sound of your friends laughing at the dumb way you died, and you're not even mad. You just join them in laughing.

I use YouTube Music instead of Spotify for a number of reasons not relevant right now.
Recently, they did a 2024 year recap, so here it is if you want to see what #music I listened to the most this year. I genuinely recommend every song listed:

What #music I've been listening to on loop lately:
-Did You Love Somebody by Peach Pit
-Forwards by Still Woozy
-Sexy to Someone by Clairo
All three artists have new 2024 albums that have been the auditory equivalent of warm honey.
Each of these songs is my favorite track off their respective album.

I mentioned before I've been listening to Labi Siffre. Fun story with that.
It starts in a Little Joel video where he mentioned Siffre's song "Bless the Telephone." I would then forget this moment.

Then, at work, I heard a song called "It Must be Love" by Madness. I recognized this song from...
