Took 5th in a local Pokemon TCG Cup. Unfortunately, top cut was top four so I bubbled out but I’m proud of myself for playing well with a deck I only recently picked up. Now to upgrade the deck for phantasmal flames format.

Places 2nd in a local Pokemon TCG challenge today with Raging Bolt. I think the only way for me to get more champion points now is to place first in a couple of challenges. Time to max out my cup points.

Had a great time at the Pittsburgh Regional! For my first regional I think I did pretty well going 3-3-2. Working hard to prepare for Milwaukee next!

I finally finished Guardians of the Galaxy last night! This game is completely unrated and needs more people talking about it! The humor and story telling are on point and combat is fun, expecially when the game Rick Rolls you during the final boss. #JustBeatIt @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

Well I just finished my first run of Undertale. I’m glad my partner suggested I play this game next. It was funny, witty, and inventive with its combat. I found the pacifist run to be super rewarding. Going for the true pacifist run this weekend. #justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

Started February by finally watching The Boy and The Heron. It was good but you can tell the Miyazaki was struggling with the concept of life/death/ and legacy. Still brings the Ghibili charm but not the best movie to start someone with.

Last book in January was Maus by Art Spiegelman. I read it in a weekend! I was kept on the edge of my seat wanting to know how the author’s father survived WW2. Super educational and it haunted me for several days later. I appreciate the author sharing his family’s story with the world.
