Will be fascinating to watch the SCOTUS try and thread the needle between the two gerrymandering cases (TX and soon to be CA).

With two states’ maps (TX &CA) now being challenged in the basis of “racial gerrymander” it seems like the SCOTUS is going to have a hard time threading the needle to favor one state over another.

No matter our perspective on the world, we’re all on the same ride.

Your arrogance is off the charts buddy. If you must have the last word repeat after me “fuck off”.
November 15, 2025 at 9:29 PM
That’s quite a stretch, Sir. Your cynical views about people aren’t helpful either. I’ll close by saying “be better at being human”.
November 15, 2025 at 9:11 PM
I am telling you what I believe to be true about how people view their healthcare. I’m not saying it’s excusable. I’m saying it’s explainable. I am doing my part to help people in my own sphere to understand the system. I certainly don’t start my conversations with “you’re ruining America”.

Ask anyone on the street if they think capitalized medicine is better for the people than socialized medicine. You will either get a blank stare or “socialism something something, bad something something, communists…something something…democrats…..”
November 15, 2025 at 8:49 PM
However you choose to characterize it, they aren’t aware of how our health insurance system is designed.
November 15, 2025 at 8:41 PM
When the average Joe thinks about healthcare he’s focused on what’s covered and what’s the cost, not on the system as a whole. Probably even less concerned about the system as a whole if he’s got employer sponsored insurance. No, I’m not being sarcastic.

I would agree with you if I thought voters were being willfully ignorant. I don’t believe they are.
November 15, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Most people don’t stop to think about health insurance companies that way. They don’t stop to realize that their healthcare is being traded on the stock market. They just don’t, and not many politicians talk about it that way.
November 15, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Voters will choose “capitalized” medicine rather than be branded a “socialist”. The problem is they don’t understand what “capitalist” means.
November 15, 2025 at 7:55 PM
The middlemen and their shareholders, you mean.
November 15, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Is “self dealing” still an impeachable offense?
November 15, 2025 at 5:34 PM
When people hear “universal healthcare” they think socialism. If you say that health insurance shouldn’t be traded in the stock market and pay dividends to people getting rich on the misfortune of others, it begins to make more sense.

If Trump knew about these Epstein emails I wouldn’t be surprised if he ordered him to be locked up and shut up.

Yes. That will start Jan 1. It will take us right back to 2009. Medical bankruptcies and needless deaths. People have short memories, but the fallout from this will be front and center in the midterms.
November 11, 2025 at 9:00 PM
Even with the ACA, we are at the mercy of private insurers. However, if the ACA is fully repealed the protections for preexisting conditions and preventive care will be gone. Our healthcare system shouldn’t reward shareholders with divided payments, it should support the well being of our people.

Maybe republicans can just pass a plan to pay for annual cancer screenings. That way people can at least plan for their medical bankruptcies. They can call it the “Wesortacare” plan.
