Seen on my morning walk. I wish it wasn’t blurry, but the deer moved at the last second. I had to share because I laughed so hard when I saw the picture. My first thought was: Train to Busan

Seen on morning walk this week. Ferns and old trees rule, and I like turtles
A very old decaying oak tree, that refuses to quit. A woodland trail with a massive growth of bright green ferns on either side. Sunlight dapples the path. A large snapping turtle on a woodland trail, it’s dotted on its shell and head with algae, making it further blend into the scenery.

Just finished listening to the audiobook version of “Out There Screaming”. I love reading, so I don’t usually listen to audiobooks, but this one is amazing. Every story is good, every narrator good. Scary as hell!

I rarely comment on books I’ve read, but when I’m halfway through and tears are streaming down my face, I should probably speak up. Survivor Song is the best and scariest thing I’ve read in ages.

Morning walk. The Mohawk River frozen over.

The river is a mosaic of snow and broken ice, with sunlight glittering across the surface. Morning walk, abandoned Pontiac is the woods. Always eerie to find abandoned cars along woodland trails.

Windchill five below, so too cold for a morning walk. Caught a pretty sunrise, though.
