British, likes: gym, literature, comedy, wine, engineering & science. Dislikes Brexit, Tories and their lickspittle, useful idiot supporters.
His first thought though wasn’t “oh no, this is terrible I must put a stop to it”, it was “hmm, I can charge people money to generate sexualised images of children.” The guy is an absolute weasel.

I know what you mean Mike but after the previous government, I'm more than happy with boring competence.

I don’t like the stance of our government and how our prime minister kowtows to this ridiculous yet dangerous man. Unfortunately we’re tied to the US for our nuclear deterrent, I don’t think Trump would hesitate to deny access if Starmer spoke out against him.

Whether the U.S. can control our use of nuclear weapons has always been denied by successive governments. We lease the missiles from them but make our own warheads. Ultimately, they could stop us from accessing the missiles next time we change the submarines over.

Agreed, like it or not we’re dependent on the US for our nuclear deterrent. Publicly rebuking Trump isn’t an option for our government.

Thanks for this, I’ll use it next time I’m arguing with my Reform voting colleagues.

Not that it’s pertinent at the moment but I think Chamberlain gets a bad rep. Other than that, I think you’re spot on.

I can’t believe that you actually have to buy tickets for this.

Yes, my biggest criticism of this government is that they’re behind with the information war. Their press office needs to up its game.
January 10, 2025 at 5:47 PM
Love the idea of this but unfortunately, those that control the media have made it their mission to remove Starmer. Despite the fact that this government is head and shoulders above the last one, they openly lie and seek any opportunity to damage him.

Absolutely!

I disagree about Harris being a worse choice, I think Trump will be manipulated by those around him into implementing extreme policies. Genuinely wish you luck over the next 4 years.

Whatever his weakness is, it needs to be exploited and highlighted in the media. In the same way that Jeremy Corbyn was unfairly connected to antisemitism then pilloried in every interview.
December 28, 2024 at 8:06 PM
Whilst I understand the sentiment behind this, isn’t it likely that the Trump administration will continue to support Israel?
December 28, 2024 at 7:55 PM
Exactly, the Labour press team should be all over this.
December 27, 2024 at 5:42 AM
Reform & the Tories have discovered that truth and accuracy don’t really matter. All they need to do is forcefully repeat their simple messages and their client media will promote and amplify them. The Labour press office needs to get its act together.

Thank you for this, I will think of him as Dr Strangelove forever more. I hope it catches on.
