now that i've beaten the whole main ff series, and with some other thinking about the games, i made a list organizing how i felt about them! it was pretty educational ngl, i'm glad i went through them

Beat FFX! I didn't agree with a few of the gameplay/story decisions, but overall i enjoyed my time with it. Great atmosphere and music, and there were some interesting battles as well (a couple were a tad cheap tho). Tidus/Yuna dominated the rest of the cast, but they were strong leads so it's fine

Beat Battle for bikini bottom rehydrated! Game is super good, with really fun level design + puzzles, charming animation, and fun dialogue. Music is super catchy as well! Why do mr krabs and mermaid man sound like that though.

FFVII was as good as I remembered! Combat/the ATB gauge is fun, materia system is enjoyable to mess with, and the limit break nature of the game is enjoyable. Environments are very well made, though sometimes it makes places hard to navigate. Characters are good, though 7R has more flesh to them.

my friends and i did a thing where we all made tier makers of our top 5 pokemon in each gen. gens 5 and 8 were especially hard, there were so many that could have gone in the 5th spot

FFVI was really good! Combat and equipment were fun to mess with, the world of ruin part of the game was fun to explore and had an excellent tone, and the music was very catchy. Characters and story were interesting, but they lacked moments in the 2nd half. Would have loved more interactions

I really enjoyed FFXII! The atmosphere was impeccable and the world was very fun and rewarding to enjoy. The combat was very fluid and the license board was a fun way to plan builds for characters. The story/characters weren't off to the best start but they grew on me and concluded satisfactorily

FFV was a bit mixed for me. I liked the lighter tone a lot. The music was fun, characters were entertaining, and exdeath was a very fun villain! I didn't enjoy the job system very much though, it felt rather antiquated and grindy. Game seems fun to break if you know exactly what you're doing though.

FF16 was okay. The world was very fleshed out, and the side characters were fun and I enjoyed their stories. The combat was fun and bosses were satisfying, though enemy variety is very low so it got very repetitive in midgame. Story veers in too many directions, and the plot leads kinda fell flat
