aditional context from tumblr just in case someones interested
so a bit of lore not sure if it will reach someone but still just want to yap about this piece because it lived in my mind rent free for pretty long time cw organ harvesting and organ depiction and description so this piece is a part of little subplot connected to this little sketch with scared clyde rite where bro was captured to be a lure to later get esther and harvest her organs🍽 so thing with illegal organ harvesting that it's not uncommon in their world so to say, and organs from different memor specimens have different value in accordance to their composition (gems basically). for example organs from less precious gems that have low hardness (as example clyde) are less valuable due to their high mortality rate (as for very low status in the society and they are viewed as disposable, they often get murdered or die in various accidents) so their organs can be acquired legally so to say. whilst organs from precious gems like conundrums diamonds topazes etc. etc. generally gems with high hardness are in high demand due to extremely low mortality rate so here the business takes place. those memors get captured, kept alive and are harvested for a prolonged period of time because some of the organs can regenerate relatively quickly (like spleens, lungs and visica) until their organism becomes too exhausted, then the rest is scooped and what is left is a husk. esther could have faced similar fate (as for sapphire) but there was something off about her – her organs are slightly different from the ones you'd see in regular memor body, prompting organ harvester guys curiosity and giving ample time for clydes escape and later hers rescue with dominic🙏 so without details everything ended well but now it posed a question what esther is also i know its not really readable without the context and me pointing it out really but i still wanted to draw attention to it🙏 as spoiler esther appears to not be a memor, but one specie that is eerily similar to them, a parasite of …
