I've had literally dozens of housemates use this same tactic with me and same explanation to cover for their sneakiness / inability to be truthful, honest or up front about things. Honesty is the cornerstone of everything, for me, and when someone starts these manipulative games I see it instantly.

I had heard him moving around upstairs when she was apparently at work, so I knew someone was up there, but the bills being through the roof is the clincher - her cover story is she forgot to tell me he'd be staying here because she's been "having a difficult time". Feels like manipulation to me...

Thankfully this tenant is one of the few good ones - they instantly responded and said they had forgotten to transfer it but that they would do it right away and even said "Its not a problem, and its rent I owe so don't worry about asking me for it! I should have paid it sooner, sorry!" 💙

*Thought* I'd fixed it, but no - I managed to send some telegrams before it then decided to resort to an issue I had previously encountered which involved setting my BIOS settings to Intel defaults. Gonna try that tomorrow cos I'm just exhausted with having my "IT hat" on all day trying to fix it!

Kind of insane to think the monster of a case my PC has been in for the last 15+ years is now thought of as "small"...shame as well because its a really good case for cooling and air flow. Dunno what I'll do when I eventually have to find a new case to replace it when a future upgrade demands it! 🤔

It's heeeeeeere! Wahoo! Gonna install it tomorrow morning with a coffee while I also give my PC a bit of a clean-up with some dusting and such! =]
