It's funny because what I was talking with my mom about was her visiting next month. The previous message she sent was screenshots of the flight she literally just booked. She joked she was canceling.

The paranoia does get old sometimes though.

I was already messaging my mom and figured I'd tell her before she saw the news. On the plus side, at least it's something that actually touched us. I get messages whenever there's flooding or fires in LA or NorCal because ppl back home don't know how big Cali is 🤣

We are *never* going to win over the far right, the right, the moderates, and the center-right leaning undecideds. Quite. Trying. Run true progressive candidates. Have and stick with true progressive policies. And demonstrate the qualities of a strong opposition party. 7/7

3) James Carville is or at least should be irrelevant. He's been riding the coat tails of moderate success in the 90s, spewing centrist garbage that hurts democrats more often than not. Him and everyone who thinks like him are why people distrust this party. /6

If I wasn't already married to a perfect partner who shared my values and was dating, I sure as fuck wouldn't marry someone who either passionately or (worse) casually thought queer people are predators, abortion doctors and patients should be executed, and that N@zis aren't that bad. /5

It's the same discourse as "you shouldn't stop being friends over politics". This isn't pothole funding we're talking about. It's human rights. It's freedom. It's values. I will absolutely drop people from my life who's values are so contradictory to mine. /4

2) His dating advice just sucks. It's terrible. He has no concept of what it's like to be a young person today. He has no concept of what it's like to be a woman. He is a privileged, straight, white man. That's great his weird-ass relationship works for him. It doesn't for many people. /3

If, for no other reason than self-interest, when the dust settles and the time for rebuilding happens, people ARE going to who was there for them. Not the ones waiting in the wings to swoop in and fix things. They are opportunistic cowards. /2

The only minds he's changing is anyone left of center at all who thought they had an ally they could depend on. Anyone else, left/right/center, already had their minds made up about him. Worse still, he's never going to get the respect he craves from the right. 6/6

As if yahtsees really needed a signal boost, but here's what he and anyone else praising him for "talking to all sides" is missing: it isn't going to change anyone's mind. At least no one on the right or most of the center.

Just one review but captures the sentiment perfectly. 5/

He's getting ratioed from all sides, but he has the numbers and isn't that what really matters? 4/

Now, compare that with his new one. 3/

What I find most interesting is the average rating and number of reviews. (This is with 37 episodes, to date.) 2/
