Agreed. Not everything about that statement was great, but he did what so many Republicans are too cowardly, cynical and opportunistic to do: call for calm, tell people to "log off, touch grass and hug their loved ones."

And I pity her for that. How empty, how devoid of character does one have to be to excuse murder?

I don't know if anybody would rationally support their own death... but he certainly fanned the flames and never expected a backdraft.

It won't come from big media, IMO. It's going to come from the independent outlets where actual journalism survives.

And that's why I think it will ultimately be what does him in. Because the truth is coming out, one way or another.

One can practically taste the bloodlust and desperation from him.

And I suspect that's what will bring him down, in the end.

It's not fun being on this crazy vessel. Part of me is torn if it can be saved, or if it's simply too little too late and I should start to get off.
