I don't know why we just don't push things like this more. Volunteering is such a good way of combatting loneliness and building community. Someone will come for me for saying it's unpaid labour, and yes it is, but there are such strong health and social benefits to things like this

What's annoying about Nick 30 ans is that it could have been a very good phrase to simply express the disillusionment young people feel around life in general (with the biggest focus on HOUSING!!!) but it's just turned into an alt right meme

Honestly, it feels like that on both the left and the right. Everyone is moving to more extremes

I can't lie, I feel like I was slowly losing it

Life is all about learning. Maybe it's the sunshine finally picking me up after a five month long depressive episode and no longer feeling nihilistic about the world, but I don't like the person I was becoming and I just want a softer life of reflection and growth

I also feel like I fell into circles that I don't like, that I consumed content that was biased towards particular views, and I want to change that and consume more balanced media.

So any podcast/book/journo recs pls send my way, I'm open to all ideas, I just want to expand my mind more

I think one of the biggest things we don't talk about regarding that app is how if you have any reasonable sized following, people start seeing you as a public figure or some kind of NPC rather than an actual human being. I'm guilty of that too, but we're all just people on a phone at the end of it
