Mothin Ali - deputy Green Party co-leader speaks to the party being the only political party where you can speak to your own principles. We must be able to speak up in the face of the rise of the far right. Immigrants didn’t privatise our key infrastructure or sell off our council houses. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

Great to hear Green Party deputy co-leader talk about paying tax as your contribution to a better society. We desperately need to change how we think about tax and be proud of our ability to pay it.

Jaw dropping talks on how quickly protest is being criminalised in the UK with long prison spells, often without trial, for political protest. If you don’t care about this now, imagine how it would feel under a Reform Government.

Poor research led to one of our Bristol Cllr’s, Abdul Malik, being wrongly slurred on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme this morning with claims he said terrible things about Jewish people. Yesterday, Abdul and his fellow ward Councillors issued this statement about the terrible synagogue attack.

Dear @Banksy - please will you come help us in Bristol to modify the flags that are going up? We want it to be clear they are not messages of hatred towards minorities but since white men in balaclavas are putting them up, we have a suspicion they might be intended to intimidate.

Proud of Bristol standing up to racism again as UKIP tried to spread hatred in our city. They were outnumbered 10 to 1 on three flanks and headed home with their tails between their legs.

Bristol’s Area Committee 6 had its first public meeting today and it’s great to finally be in a space where we are working in a collegiate way with a local Labour councillor on what’s best for the area. Thanks to the members of the public who came to share views on what the St George’s need.

Dr Henry Fisher talking about ‘balancing scientific integrity, business viability & patient outcomes’ wrt to psychedelic clinical research. This feels very corporate and begs questions about why this work can be legally viable but drug consumption rooms or OPCs in England are not.
