The newest member of our household, Theodore Howl the Third. (“Teddy” for everyday use.) DNA testing says he’s a husky/chihuahua mix.

(We didn’t have him tested, that was someone in his previous chain of custody.)

I so want to put googly eyes on this fungus I saw on a walk today.

This is who runs this account.
An upstart crow, beautified.

Conflict at the bird feeder this morning. (The sparrow nonchalantly began eating, then a second sparrow came, and the cardinal gave up and flew away.)

As Philip Hoare reminded me in William Blake and the Sea Monsters of Love, William Blake created a perfect zine cover about 200 years ago.

No cheating. Your last saved celebrity photo is your therapist. Who is it?

(He’s already giving the good advice.)

This little critter was about six feet away from me. The dog was about two feet from me on the other side, totally oblivious.

I’m happy the bird feeder cam is back, and so are Statler and Waldorf.

No bird feeder cam for now. A part came off (I blame the squirrels), and a part of that part couldn’t be found. The maker is shipping me a replacement part, but it might take a couple of weeks to get here. Meanwhile I’ll miss seeing shots like this (cropped).

Same camera, same bird species, different individuals, different lighting. Other than cropping, I’ve done no manipulation of these photos.
