It’s me! I am your token heterosexual female listener! (Though, interestingly, I am often mistaken for a lesbian, so do with that what you will)

To be clear, bored all the time and never engaged = not good. Sometimes having to do something that you don’t like/is not super interesting or exciting/is maybe a little hard? That’s called life, and learning to adapt to those situations is an important life skill.

As a school psychologist who entered the field in the NCLB era, I saw a steady rise in boredom being pathologized. First time kid says school was “boring” today, parents were screaming at me for a diagnosis. Nobody liked my argument that sometimes life is boring and dealing with it is a life skill 🤷‍♀️

💯 my husband’s eyes would glaze over before he got through the abstract and I do not consider this an indictment of either my work or his supportiveness

even 100k more seems generous to me - I’ve held visiting academic appointments and would have salivated at an 85k paycheck! 🙃

Sometimes the people fight the warrant. In that case neither the vampire or the cop can enter, so vampire is not outed as such
July 11, 2025 at 3:16 AM
This is the answer - the vampire uses the power of a warrant to manipulate people into an invitation.

Yep. An entire generation of scholars have been dehumanized and disenfranchised by the existing system, and now the system is shocked that we aren’t coming to defend it?
