I was on Mackinac Island this past weekend, where much of the seasonal staff is from Jamaica. Heartbreaking to know they are stuck in Michigan unable to reach family in Jamaica and watching the storm hit 😢

Same, it made the ending hit so hard when I was emotionally ready for something different.

I read the book again when the movie was coming out, but I didn't get a chance to see it until I could watch it at home Tuesday. I sobbed at the end. So so good.

Good point. Physical labor deserves earlier retirement coverage (Social Security and Medicare) than desk jobs.

Im with tou. A great picture but as a local (and mom to teen boys), I immediately thought of the danger. The current in the river is brutal, especially near the bridges.
