some commission mugs i completed this past year ! animal sculpture pieces are some of my favorite to make 🍃🤍🌀
White-throated king fisher (bird) ceramic sculpture mug. The king fisher is perched on a branch and sculpted into an indent on the outside center of the mug. The mug is colored in different tones of brown to resemble wood. The bird has a long red beak, a brown body, a white throat and stomach patch, with a bright blue tail Red panda ceramic sculpture mug. The red panda is climbing on a branch on the outside center of the mug, and is holding a bundle of bamboo and a blue rose. The mug is colored an emerald green Great blue turaco (bird) ceramic sculpture mug. The bird is perched on a branch on the outside center of the mug. The mug is colored a dark blue with white glaze drips on the outside rim. The bird is primarily a bright blue color with a green stomach, a yellow and red beak, and a dark blue array of head feathers Oberhasli goat ceramic sculpture mug. The goat is primarily brown im color with a black belly and black face patches. The goat is located on the outside center of the mug in an indent. The color of the mug is a reddish-purple

a lil tour of the pieces i have kept for myself ! these pieces are milestones that mark the progress throughout my pottery journey, some firsts of my favorite designs, some imperfect pieces, and just ones i could not part with. it brings me a lot of joy to see and use my art around my apartment 😊✨🫶🏻

Some of my favorite studio ghibli inspired pieces!
Ceramic mug shaped like the Radish Spirit, a character from the movie “Spirited Away” This character is an off-white color, has two face flaps under the eyes, and is wearing a 3D red cloth. The red rim of the mug ties into the red hat worn by the character. Ceramic mug with a sculpted fire place on the outside of the piece. Inside the fireplace is a character Calcifer, the fire demon from the movie “Howls Moving Castle”, who is smiling and resting on a log. There is a copper patch behind it. The mug is grey and has a frying pan with eggs and bacon on the handle that is slightly visible. Tall white ceramic vase with a dragon sculpture wrapping around it. The dragon featured is Haku, a character from the movie “Spirited Away”. Haku is a light blue with teal hair and a purple underbelly and arms. Ceramic cup set featuring characters from the movie “My Neighbor Totoro”. The cups are stacked, with the bottom and largest cup being the character Totoro. Totoro is grey with a white belly that has grey markings inside. Totoro is smiling with whiskers, a black nose and tall straight ears that extend up above its eyes. The middle cup is based on the character “blue totoro”. This character cup is blue with a white belly, a small triangle nose and ears that point straight up. At the top is the third character cup, “white totoro”, who is colored white, only has eyes and small pointy ears that point upwards. These cups are stacked on top of each other, and get smaller as they progress up.

hi !! im lauren, the potter behind capy clay ceramics ! i mainly make stoneware mugs with sculptures in/on them. a lot of my work is focused on animals, studio ghibli, whimsy and color !

I have only been working with clay for a year, and just recently opened up an etsy shop. happy to be here !
