#beautifulbookcoverschallenge prompt: "Book cover you'd want as your phone wallpaper"

I seriously adore this particular shade of blue (also, shout-out to Youngcheol Lee's illustrations within the book, they're similarly gorgeous!)

Book 82 of rereading/cataloging my book collection - Tolkien's translation of three medieval poems. I'm less accustomed to reading poetry so I took it in quite slowly, but largely enjoyed the lush prose

Book 81 of rereading/cataloging my book collection - the last book in the Protector of the Small series, and my favorite as well. Kel is a fantastic protagonist, and the life she has built is harsh but beautifully hopeful

Behold this beauty. I took AGES to arrange and glue all the tiny books into the perfect spot on the bookshelves - absolutely time well spent

Book 80 of rereading/cataloging my book collection - while I enjoyed the first two books in the series, Squire is where I started really loving Protector of the Small. Great worldbuilding and coverage of various interesting themes (focusing especially on sexism)

#beautifulbookcoverschallenge prompt: "Book cover that reveals new details the longer you look"

The overall tone of the stories was surreal and mysterious; the book cover reflects that vibe really well

Book 79 of rereading/cataloging my book collection - Protector of the Small was one of my favorite book series as a teen, and I still love it lots as an adult. Page's climax felt a tad contrived, but ultimately enjoyed how it fit into the series' themes of sexism and classism

My favorite color is blue, so I simply adore the many gradients of blue present in this picture 💙📚

The fox shimmered SO beautifully, I absolutely couldn't resist getting a copy (ended up enjoying the story and characters as well, which was a nice bonus!)

Book 78 of rereading/cataloging my book collection - Protector of the Small was one of my favorite book series as a teen, and I still enjoy it lots as an adult. Loved Kel's resolve and integrity, and was very engaged with her struggles against sexism

Book 77 of rereading/cataloging my book collection - finally got to this #classic!

Favorite quote: "She makes a very beautiful corpse, sir. It’s quite a privilege to attend on her. It’s not too much to say that she will do credit to our establishment!" 😂

Loved the absurd chaos in the Villainess Flips the Script - it was hilariously fun! Also, really impressed with how the author used cliched tropes to move the plot in interesting directions. Great read, beautifully illustrated

#projectgutenberg read! Appreciated the diversity of the stories. The Parson's Daughter was satisfying - I liked seeing the female lead's POV and Patience's character. Anthony Garstin's Courtship felt promising but unfinished, like a prequel. The others weren't to my taste

Book 76 of rereading/cataloging my book collection - felt like I learned SO much about Alaska in this story! Was a bit put off by the protagonist - she felt like an idealized heroine - but enjoyed the fascinatingly complex culture & politics depicted

Another #projectgutenberg read, also known as Fish Preferred. As always with Wodehouse: greatly absurd, creatively written, with some truly madcap characters - Sue & Galahad were brilliant! I was less keen on the other characters, but on the whole enjoyed this lots
